We strive to empower our clients to find their own solutions to life's challenges, and to create meaningful changes in their lives.In the future, we hope to expand our services to include community-based counselling through a professional team of experienced counsellors. Our Story
Perryman Counselling is a husband and wife partnership inspired by life experiences. With both of us having Bachelor of Counselling degrees and being registered with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors, we have been helping people find answers and flourish in their lives. We have been married for over 15 years, with a son. We understand the struggles and joys that life brings and are passionate about helping people through these difficult times. Meet The Team

Dave Perryman - Partner / Counsellor

Dave likes to provide counselling services to people of all ages and cultures. He specialises in helping men find purpose and direction in their lives. As a counsellor he draws from his previous experience as a self-employed tradesperson to understand the unique stressors and pressure associated with running a business. Dave is dyslexic and knows what it’s like to be neurodivergent. Recently reconnecting with his Maori heritage, Dave has enjoyed learning about and discovering his MuaÅ«poko iwi links. He is passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment for people from all walks of life to feel heard and respected.

Lina Sina/ Counsellor

I am in the process of earning a Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health and Addictions at AUT, following my bachelor's degree in business from Indonesia. My counselling approach is holistic, person-centred, and informed, using a variety of therapeutic techniques to support each client's unique journey. As a migrant and a single mother, I relate to the challenges of adjusting to a new environment and aim to create a safe, inclusive space for clients from diverse backgrounds, especially those from Asian, Middle Eastern, and African communities. Fluent in both Bahasa Indonesia and English, I am eager to help you on your healing journey.

Winnie Perryman - Partner / Counsellor

Winnie is an established counsellor that specialises in helping both children and adults cope with a range of issues, including trauma, family violence, and sexual abuse. She is experienced in dealing with trauma and has extensive knowledge in the areas of corporate and management. Winnie understands how difficult it can be to open up about issues that have been affecting your life, and is here for you every step of the way. She also works with employers and employees during incidents and a variety of issues, and is dedicated to helping you find the right solutions.

Bailey / Therapy Assistant

Meet Bailey, our adorable 6-month-old puppy in training to become a dedicated therapy assistant. Specialising in person-centred therapies, sensory regulation, techniques, and, of course, providing the best cuddles, Bailey brings joy and comfort to everyone he meets. His presence in counselling sessions has made him a beloved companion, earning him the title of "Employee of the Month." With a wagging tail and a heart full of love, Bailey is here to support and uplift those in need.
